“Outrageous, audacious, sacrilegious and delicious. . . memorable performances are turned in by Aaron Reeder, a stitch as an angry transsexual.”

August 2021

2020 was definitely a turbulent year for everyone that ultimately forced us to reflect, get creative and find unique and new ways to connect and perform. Given the challenges of the pandemic and the hardening of international borders, Mo'Voce launched the 2021 Mo'Voce in Session- five-part concert series featuring our multi-national group. Senior Sunrise Living Community welcomed tailored digital offerings as well to keep their isolated residents engaged and entertained.

Despite an economic crisis and the restrictions on mobility, continuing to find ways to build relationships within the community happened. The Fonds DAKU awarded a wonderful grant that allowed collaborator, Lori Baldwin and I to devise and produce, "Death's Cabaret" as part of the NEUSTART KULTUR #TakeAction program.
Gradually opening its doors behind the reconstructed façade of the Berlin Palace this summer, I was invited by Humboldt Forum to be part of their, open-air festival "Durchlüften"; striving to spark new ideas, discussions and insights.

Returning to NYC to perform with The Metropolitan Opera and workshop two pieces I have been working on diligently during the lockdown-- MORE TO COME!
